Brexit and Cedrec

It has been a turbulent few years since the referendum result of 2016 which took us out of the EU, and we've seen lots of changes coming through to legislation which have created quite a complicated web of amendments.

Most of the EU Exit amendments simply ensure that the legislation continues to work effectively from 2021 onwards, whilst others have seen some procedural changes occur.

No matter what the changes are, we've been working frantically in the background to make sure Cedrec is up-to-date. You will now find that:

  • all of the Retained EU legislation relating to Environment, Safety, planning and Energy is available on your subscription, and the amendments published by the UK government to this legislation have been applied;
  • EU Exit amendments to UK legislation have been done so that the legislation that applies to you is fully up-to-date, meaning you don't have to look through the complex amendments just to find out what the law says.

Unfortunately some amendments remain in Draft format so until these are approved and published we can't do the amendments. However, you can be assured that we'll continue to work hard to make sure all of the legislation is up-to-date as soon as the Drafts are published into law. Some of these EU Exit amendments are quite lengthy documents, so please bear with us to give us time to properly update Cedrec and apply the changes for you - we promise our writing team are working very hard to get new amendments done as soon as possible.

Please make sure that you keep an eye on our What's New page for all relevant EU Exit changes that may occur in the next few months.
