Approval has been granted by North Lincolnshire Council's planning committee for three planning applications for 2,500 homes. Improvements are also to be made to the M181 motorway.
The planning applications have been submitted by Maltgrade Ltd, seeing phase two of the Lincolnshire Lakes regeneration scheme built, with the scheme on a whole aiming to build more than 7,300 homes and creating 500 jobs in total.
Rob Waltham, deputy leader, North Lincolnshire Council, said the approvals will "pave the way for the region’s largest housing regeneration scheme for years to come".
Funding will be provided by Highways England’s Growth and Housing Fund and North Lincolnshire Council.
