Safety inspections have taken place on the 60ft Norwegian Christmas tree standing in Trafalgar Square. The tree was put in place earlier in the month and a lighting ceremony was held on 3 December.
However, the proud tree now finds itself on a slight lean following the high winds brought by Storm Desmond. Happily, the tree poses no risk to the public despite its new angle.
A spokesperson for the Mayor of London's office confirmed that they are looking into straightening it.
