It's Christmastime and that means it 'tis the season to be jolly, but could your energy bill dampen that festive spirit?
Which? have the answer and it may be a pleasant surprise to all you Christmas light fanatics out there!
To brighten up your home with those fairy lights, it can cost as much as £8.94 to run your Christmas lights for 30 days.
That is based on 700 lights on strings, and ran for around 6 hours per day. That's not such a humbug, is it?
If you want to take it a step further, Which? revealed that the cost to run those lights can be reduced by up to 90% by switching over to energy-efficient LEDs.
On the other hand, less efficient appliances such as a fridge-freezer can be adding £85 to your energy bills per year.
So, rest assured! Your snazzy lights aren't going to hit your wallet when the energy bill comes in!
