Stratford-upon-Avon Granted Outline Planning Permission

A 140-hectare development in Warwickshire has been granted outline planning permission.

The plan, submitted by Nexus Planning, secured outline planning permission in the largest scheme ever considered by Stratford-upon-Avon District Council.

The proposal includes a new settlement of up to 2000 new homes (with 35% affordable housing), a village centre with a supermarket and retirement accommodation, a new primary school, community hub, health centre, sports and recreation facilities as well as a 47 hectare managed ecological reserve.

The proposed site is adjacent to the village of Lighthorne Heath, near Gaydon in Warwickshire, a land which has been allocated in the emerging Core Strategy.
