A large blaze at a fireworks factory warehouse in Stafford has led to two people being taken to hospital. Two people are also still missing as emergency services wait for the building to be declared safe so they can enter.
The fire escalated out of control on 30 October and large amounts of smoke and eruptions of fireworks could be seen around Stafford.
The blaze was brought under control within around three hours but fire crews are still damping down the area.
A total of four people were hurt in the fire which was believed to have started at around five o’clock on Thursday. One of the two men in hospital has been described as in a "poorly condition", and the other as stable.
Onlookers in the area described the fire as "mayhem" and one man stated "It was like November the 5, 10 times".
Police have arrested a 53 year old man believed to be connected with the blaze.
The cause of the fire will be investigated further by police when the site is deemed safe and they can enter.
UPDATE: In a tragic update, two bodies have been recovered from the factory. One man remains in critical condition in hospital, whilst a fourth victim has returned home.
The 53 year old man, arrested in connection with the fire, has been released, and is now considered a witness.
