Building Safety Bill published

Until now, the Building Safety Bill has been in draft form. However, the Bill has now been set before Parliament and is beginning its journey through the House of Commons, followed by the House of Lords, before being approved by Royal Assent.

The Bill is a direct result of Dame Judith Hackitt's review of Building Regulations and fire safety following the Grenfell Tower disaster in 2017 and aims to make important changes in the ways future residential buildings should be built and maintained as part of some of the biggest changes to occur to building safety...
