New Energy Performance of Buildings Directive is coming

A Proposal for a recast of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) has been published.

The revision of Directive 2010/31/EU, on the energy performance of buildings (EPBD) forms part of the EU's 2021 Commission Work Programme package, and also compliments the vision for achieving a zero-emission building stock by 2050. This legislation is key in the EU's climate action plan and is instrumental in delivering on the EU's 2030 and 2050 decarbonisation objectives.
