Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005

This Act was signed into law on 22 June 2005 and applies to Ireland only.
It provides for:
- the safety and welfare of people at work;
- further regulation of work activities;
- the conferring of additional functions on the national authority for occupational safety and health and to rename that body the Health and Safety Authority,
and gives further effect to:
- Directive 89/391/EEC on the introduction of measures to encourage improvements in the safety and health of workers at work;
