Safety, Health and Welfare At Work (Carcinogens) Regulations SI 78/2001

The Regulations relate to the prevention of exposure to carcinogens and mutagens at work.
They place a responsibility on employers and cover both Category 1A and 1B carcinogens and mutagens.
The Regulations also contain specific provisions on:

information to be made available by the
employer;
- unforeseen exposure;
- foreseeable exposure;
- general measures;
- information and training of employees;
- consultation;
- health surveillance;
- exposure records.
