Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations (Northern Ireland) SR 1993/37
The aim of the Regulations is to place a duty on employers and others in charge of workplaces to reduce health and safety risks in or near buildings and to regulate the general working environment. They do this by laying down specific requirements in respect of most aspects of the working environment.
Employers must make sure that every workplace within their control complies with the requirements of the Regulations. The workplace and any devices or systems must be cleaned and maintained in good repair and working order.
