Manual Handling Operations Regulations (Northern Ireland) SR 1992/535
These Regulations came into force on 8 January 1993 and apply to Northern Ireland only.
They implement the Manual Handling Directive 90/269/EEC and replace all previous legislation on the subject.
Their aim is to establish an ergonomic approach to manual handling in the workplace for the avoidance of injury.
