These Regulations came into force on 6 January 1997 and apply to Northern Ireland only.

They require employers to consult with employees on health and safety matters and they apply to employees who are not provided for under the Safety Representatives and Safety Committees Regulations (Northern Ireland) SR 1979/437.  They
